CONTINENTAL Tire Trail King 29 x 2.60 PureGrip E-25 ShieldWall
The Trail King is the ideal choice for all-mountain riders and alpine crossers. It offers a lot of grip on the trail and low rolling resistance, so that you can go on tours as relaxed as possible. Due to its relatively large volume, it has very good self-damping properties and protects the driver from getting tired too quickly. The cheaper variant relies on the Contis PureGrip Compound and the new ShieldWallSystem, which provides puncture protection.
PureGrip Compound
Based on the activated silica compound, a single-minded approach was taken towards a compound technology in the performance segment. The result of Continental’s research and development department in Korbach resulted in a new compound technology with excellent grip and cross-country skiing properties after intensive development efforts. The new rubber compound with the self-explanatory name PureGrip joins Continental’s BlackChili Compound and is used in performance products in the race and mountain bike segments. Here it ensures long-lasting traction and high mileage of Continental tires, which are manufactured exclusively in the production facility in Hefei (Asia).
ShieldWall system
The ShieldWall system combines the optimal combination of high puncture protection and the best smooth running with low weight. This is made possible by an additional, all-round puncture protection layer, which consists of a finely woven cross fabric. This gives the tire a high level of resistance to punctures and injuries. Despite the additional layer, the tire has very good damping properties and is extremely flexible so that it can be perfectly adapted to the ground. The revolutionary tubeless ready foot enables easy and uncomplicated assembly of the tire. Conti Revo-Sealant seals reliably.
